About Dennis Nelson
I am a Texas outdoor photographer. From an early age, I was fascinated with photography. My earliest memory was playing with my Grandma’s old Kodak Brownie camera. When I was about eight years old my parents bought a new camera, a Polaroid instant camera, I’ve been hooked ever since. I enjoy photographing outdoors, nature and macro photography. Growing up I never traveled more than a hundred and fifty miles from my hometown. When I married my wife, 33 plus years ago, we drove to the Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg, Tennessee for our honeymoon. I was hooked. I could not believe all there was to see. I have lost count of the number of trips we have made to the Smokies. We made 3 trips there last year. We are on the road every weekend and day off. We like to chase waterfalls, though we don’t have a lot of those here in Texas. We decided last year that we will add at least one new National Park each year to our travels. I like to leave my photos as natural as possible, I do not use Photo Shop or Lightroom. I do use some in camera settings occasionally such as HDR, paint mode, ect. Please enjoy my growing collection.
